Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading 2020: Imagine Your Story

It’s time for summer reading at the library! This year’s theme is Imagine Your Story, and we are re-imagining summer reading as well – it’s all virtual! Children, teens, and adults can still keep track of their reading over the summer and earn prizes. And there are plenty of fun, virtual programs, too. Sign up begins June 1st.

Track Your Reading

Instead of a paper log, you can keep track of your reading online with the Reader Zone app which can be downloaded on the App Store, Google Play, and for free, or you can login at

    1. Download the Reader Zone app or log on to
    2. Make an account, for yourself or for the whole family
    3. Enter program code 1ec19
    4. Select FCDL Summer Reading Program
    5. Select your reading group(s)
    6. Track your reading, and we’ll do the rest!

Paper logs will be available on request for curbside pickup beginning June 1st. Finish your log by July 31 to be entered into the gift card drawing. Thanks to our Friends of the Library for providing summer reading prizes!

Summer Reading Virtual Programs

Programs for children, teens, and adults look different this year, but we still plan to have fun! We can’t have in-person programming, but you can register for Grab and Go bags and follow along at home with YouTube and Facebook Live.

We have Facebook Storytimes, Fairy Tale Challenges, and Imagine Your Art programs for kids. And programs for adults and teens, including Lattes with Librarians on Facebook Live!

Find programs on our events calendar at here.
