What is the Library building in Millersport?

The Fairfield County District Library has collaborated with the village of Millersport to build a 24 hour Library Kiosk, located at 2201 Refugee Street, Millersport (in front of the police station).

What is a Library Kiosk?

Imagine a vending machine for library materials! The Kiosk is a stand-alone self-service library that will allow customers to browse and checkout more than 350 items. Customers can also place items on hold to be picked up at the Kiosk.

Here is an example of a kiosk similar to the one being placed in Millersport.

What kind of materials will be available at the Kiosk?

The Kiosk will provide a browsing collection of over 350 popular books, DVD’s, and audiobooks. Materials for both children and adults will be available for checkout with a Fairfield County District Library card.

What other services will the Kiosk offer?

Customers will be able to place and pick up holds from the Millersport Library Kiosk. The location will include free wifi for customers to browse and download eBooks and other digital content. Customers will also be able to return items to the Kiosk.

When will the Kiosk be open for business?

The Kiosk is planned to open in the fall of 2018.

What do I need to use the Kiosk?

You will need a library card from the Fairfield County District Library. To get a library card, simply bring a photo id with current address to any FCDL location and fill out an application.
