Available MaterialsThe Fairfield County District Library's collection consists of the following: Audio BooksAudio books are available in cassette, CD, playaway and downloadable formats. BooksThe Library owns over 240,000 fiction and nonfiction titles. Computer SoftwareIncludes computer software and games. Downloadable audio books and ebooksYou don't need to visit a library location in order to check out books. You can do that from our downloadable ebooks and audio books page. History & GenealogyThe Historical Room at the Main Library contains materials on Lancaster and Fairfield County history and a genealogy collection. Large Print BooksA wide variety of large print books are available at the Main Library and at all branch library locations. Small collections of large print books are also delivered to senior sites and nursing homes. Leappad booksThe library has leappad learning systems that your child can use at the library. Or check out a leapfrog book to use on your system at home. Magazines & NewspapersThe FCDL subscribes to a wide selection of magazines and newspapers. Magazine indexes are available to help find specific articles. Microfilm & ReadersA wide variety of resources are available on microfilm. This includes: past issues of the local newspaper, local cemetery records, federal censuses of Fairfield County from 1820, and much more. Music CDsA wide variety of artists, titles and music types are available. Video CollectionThe Library owns over 45,000 DVDs (digital video discs) in addition to video cassettes of feature films for adults and children. Nonfiction videos are also available for checkout.
