Computer / Internet Use

All Fairfield County District Library locations offer free customer access to computer workstations. All computer users must have a current library card and PIN (Personal Identification Number).

Computer workstations are available on a first-come-first-served basis and may be used for one hour. If others are not waiting to use the computers at the end of an hour session customers may continue using their computer workstation for up to a total of 3 hours of computer use per day.

Customers wishing to access library computers should read the FCDL Internet Access policy which explains the Library's rules for computer use.

The Fairfield County District Library provides free access to hardware, software and manuals, customers must provide the expertise to use the equipment provided. Library staff can only offer minimal assistance with software programs. Information saved to a library computer's hard drive is deleted at the end of the customer's computer session, so customers should copy their work onto their own floppy disk, writable CD or flash drive.

Printing of information is available as follows:
Main Library - 20¢ per copy, color copies 40¢.
Branch Libraries - 20¢ per copy, color copies not available.

You are responsible to pay for all pages generated. Refunds will be given only when equipment malfunctions.
