The Amazing Library Race Starts

Date:  Sat, Jun 1, 2013 10:00am - Mon, Jun 3, 2013 8:00pm
Type:  Events for Teens & Adults
Location:  All Branches

Starting June 1 through August 17, the Fairfield County District Library (FCDL)is offering incentives for adults and teens who log their reading at any FCDL location. For every two (2) books read, up to ten (10) books total, readers earn a scratch-off ticket which, when revealed, earns a small prize, a coupon for something free or even a chance to have their library card made fine free for an entire year! Once all ten books have been read, readers can choose a book bag or reading light to have as a final reward. **Books read by adults or teens must be at least 100 pages long.

But wait! There’s more! The Amazing Library Race Challenge is in addition to the reading part of Summer Reading 2013 for teens and adults. Readers who participate in the challenge part will be vying for a grand prize drawing to win an iPad Mini plus additional scratch-off surprises.

Adult and teen summer readers do NOT have to participate in the additional challenge BUT challenge participants MUST read at least one book to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. Please note: Unless you have a valid FCDL library card in good standing, you will not be able to complete most clues in this challenge.
