Sally Ayers' Life on the Ridge Closes

Date:  Saturday, May 17, 2014  10:00am - 4:00pm
Type:  Art Exhibit
Location:  Main Library

“My paintings are from my heart and are rich in color.”

Upon retiring after a long career in business, Ayers pursued her love of watercolor painting. Although Ayers has taken a couple classes, she is basically self-taught. Ayers’ choices have a wide range from portraits to scenery; and one of her favorites, being the daylilies that grow in abundance in her gardens. Most of Ayers’ paintings reflect subjects from the ridge of land that she lives on, which is a part of her family’s homestead, as well as art subjects around the county. Ayers’ paintings are identified mostly because of the depth of color she uses and colorful frame work.

Sally hopes you enjoy her watercolors and that they “brighten your day.”
